Stomach

The stomach is section from the digestive system. It‘s an enormous sack involving the oesophagus plus the small intestines. The stomach could be that the third stage within the digestive process. It holds food after ingestion. Food within the stomach then passes through in the direction of the small intestine where many of the food's nutrition is absorbed. 
 The stomach contains hydrochloric acid made by stomach cells. This acid kills bacteria within the food. Acid within the stomach may cause problems. It might worsen peptic ulcer disease. Additionally it might cause heartburn — pain within the chest when acid coming coming from the stomach refluxes (backs up into ) the oesophagus. These can usually be treated by neutralizing the acid. 
 Vomiting occurs when food goes back inside the oesophagus and also the mouth. Vomiting can be a symptom of disease. 
 Stomachs of other animals work differently than human stomachs. Cows, as an example, possess a stomach with multiple compartments.
